It’s the tail end of Stress Awareness Month. And I like to ask, what kind of awareness do you want to bring to stress? How you approach and experience stress – as all bad; as sometimes positive, sometimes negative; as a challenge; as a problem to manage –makes a difference. Since it can be difficult to even figure this out when we’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, one of the first things to do is break through the scatteredness and static. Take a few moments to ground back into your body, to reconnect with conscious breathing, and with present time, so you once again have more bandwidth for new and better choices. Recently I was interviewed by Rico Caveglia of Ageless Living Lifestyle on Thrive Talk radio. I talked about stress management and what I’ve called the Keys to Freedom from Stress and Worry. Rico himself was very interested in how to deal with stress from feeling overwhelmed, so our conversation veered over in that important direction. I described some specific ways to shift out of overwhelm when the stress is feeling too much, when it feels paralyzing. Here’s the link to our thirty minute interview: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/
